After Bali, we moved to Magelang for Waisak.
We were in Magelang from 24-26 May 2013. We met my friends there, Novy and Sheila. And then stayed at the homestay. We visited some places before the Waisak day, such as New Selo and Ketep Pass; where you can see the Merapi from there but too bad it was too foggy that day. And then the next morning, on Waisak day, we went to Mendut temple, took some photos, waited for the ceremony, and then walked to Borobudur temple. It was a long walk from Mendut to Borobudur, but we finally made it. After we got to Borobudur, we went to look around to the temple. It was his first time being there so he wanted to the temple closer. After that we sat on the Waisak ceremony area, waiting for it to begin. And then the rain poured down on us, getting heavier, and finally they said there won't be any lantern that night. So we went home, disappointed, tired, and wet because of the rain. It was a tiring day after all. We planned to go to Punthuk Setumbu on the next morning, but we decided to cancel it because we were too tired. 

The next morning we went back to Jogja.
On our way back to Jogja, we made a stop at Ullen Sentalu. And then we arrived at Jogja. I always like Jogja but too bad we didn't spend much time there. We went back to Jakarta on 27 May. 

It was a great trip anyway. Good trip, good companions.
Jogja has a special memories for us :)
