I went to Mount Bromo last weekend.
It was my first time visiting this beautiful surreal mountain.
And what surprised me was the hills behind the mountain, it was so........... (I don't know how to describe it).
And I promise myself that I will go back to that mountain again, I will.

My friend Rizki Ramadan asked me to help him to draw a header for Card to Post blog. Card to Post is a project where people can join and send postcard to each other, even if they don't know each other. And the fun thing is we can make our own postcard. I think that is the interesting part. So for helping a friend and because i like this project, i made the drawing.

So the concept is about waving hands.
I made a lot of hands on the drawing, well not a lot, some hands. It's because i think people send postcard to other people simply just because they want to say hi, just like when you wave your hand to other to say hi (or even to say goodbye). So the hands there are waving to each other, and also write a postcard, holding a postcard, and stamps.

Hello again people,
I'm back from a very long pause.

So me and my friends went to a Japan Festival in Jakarta, it was last month I think.
It was fun, lots of foods, people with some weird clothes, a lot of japanese stuffs, some japanese traditional games just like you read in comics, etc etc. I bought a cute Stitch hat and my friend spotted a cute japanese photographer there (ha!).

I took some photos with my favorite camera, and I will show you some shots here, enjoy!

It was my first time bringing a film camera to a concert.

I've never liked taking pictures when I was at the concert, because I will get too busy taking pictures instead of enjoying the show.

But this time I decided to bring my Olympus LT-1, and it turns out I had fun taking a pic with it while jumping or moving along with the songs.

There were some people using their analog cameras too, it's quite a surprise.

So why don't we go,

somewhere only we know?

I've always had dream about going somewhere, to some places out there, and the most important thing on that dream is having a trip buddy with me.

Imagine if you have a trip buddy, or a trip partner with you, to go some places, or maybe some countries, i think it would be nice.

You will have a partner to :

Take pictures, so you will always remember the places that you've visited and bring the memories with you and your trip buddy (and nothing more fun that taking pictures, right?)
Sightseeing
Getting lost (maybe it would be fun)
Lost in translation (this one too)
Write stories (journals, collaborated stories between you two, or maybe science fiction stories, anything)
Stargazing (for this you have to find another place, jakarta is not a good choice for stargazing)
Make some drawings
Watching the skies, and clouds of course from the hill (if you don't have any partner, you will talk about the shape of the clouds alone, not fun)
Oh and of course ask your partner a help to take your picture infront of some cool objects, it's better than using self-timer or asking strangers to take your picture
Talking or not talking all day
Eat some weird foods at unknown place
Listening to some songs on the trip and sing it loudly together, so you will have a buddy to back you up if people call you crazy
And a lot of another cool things (you can write your own list here..................)

I don't know who is he/she for now, but i hope i'll find he/she really soon.

So, is anyone looking for a trip buddy too?

P.S. That first line was taken from Keane's song, "Somewhere only we know". So i'm not a fan of Keane, but a few days ago i listened their song on the radio, and that line caught me ears.

Maybe you have read a folklore about moon rabbit before.
A rabbit who lives on the moon, and you can see it from the earth.

Well, Harold has kicked out the rabbit, and becoming a moon capybara (yes, Harold is a capybara).
And he's sooooo happy to be on the moon.

You can't see his feeling from his face, Harold is not good at facial expression.
But you can see it from how much "O" he puts on his words,
that's how he shows his feeling, playing with words.

So, a few weeks ago Mr. Julien Roper, a guy I knew from Flickr asked me to be one of contributors for his project, a book, called Sans Complice. Sans Complice is a selection of daily rituals, captured on roll films. So there are some photographer who contributed their works to this project and being published in this book. It was really cool when he told me that two of my works are being selected for this book, thanks a lot Julien. So here it is, some pics of the books, enjoy!

Asal mula kepikiran project satu hari posting satu gambar.

Awalnya saya lagi ngobrol sama temen saya, dia ngeliat gambar saya di avatar gtalk saya, mulai lah saya cerita kalau dulu sering gambar, tapi sekarang udah lama banget gak gambar. Trus ngobrol lalala lilili akhirnya dia nyaranin saya bikin website isinya gambar-gambar saya. Saya jadi agak semangat deh untuk mulai gambar lagi, gak peduli deh bagus atau engga, setidaknya ada sarana menyalurkan pikiran-imajinasi-dan juga curhat colongan. Saya pikir kan udah ada blog ini, jadi lebih baik saya manfaatin aja daripada lama gak posting karena lagi jarang foto-foto juga.

Alasan kedua, sebenernya posting gambar setiap hari adalah pelarian saya dari TA (Tugas Akhir), gak tau kenapa saya udah bosen & jenuh banget sama TA ini, padahal bisa dibilang setengah jalan aja belum. Setiap hari kerjanya ngeluh tapi gak bertindak apa-apa untuk cepet-cepet nyelesein. Pengen cepet lulus, tahun ini harus lulus, kalau bisa pengen skip langsung wisuda, tanpa ngelanjutin TA ini, yah mana mungkin. Jadi saya bikin project posting sehari satu gambar ini deh untuk sedikit pengalihan dari TA TA itu. Ternyata TA bisa bikin saya mulai bikin gambar lagi. Ntar sore deh saya posting gambar selanjutnya. Yah jadi curhat, udah lama gak posting cerita kayak gini.

So, i bought a new camera. It's my first Russian camera, called ЗЕНИТ ET or Zenit ET. Bought it from Mr. Renaldy. I always fell in love with every Zenit shot i saw on Flickr, so i decided to buy this one.

This is my first roll using this camera, had a little problem on focusing the image.
I didn't edit the colors, it's just turns out like that, maybe it was over exposed, maybe it's the camera who gives that color tone, i don't know.

This is my first attempt using Octopus Panorama Camera.
Took a very long time to finished this roll.
I bought it for only Rp 15.000,-, do not underestimate the price, it's a cheap camera with a pretty good lens.
I think b/w film is the best partner for it.

I just bought a new book few days ago.
It is George Orwell's book, 1984.
It is a book that I always wanted since a very long time.
I always found it in many bookstores, but I didn't buy it because it costs me a lot of money.
And I don't have any money, so I didn't buy it.
But here I am, holding that book. I bought it for only Rp 25.000,00. Yeah, dua puluh lima ribu! I found it on a secondhand bookstore, but who cares, I don't mind reading an old book (it was published in 1949!). And also the cover is very interesting.
Oh how I love secondhand bookstore!
I will post the pics of that book later!

Di awal tahun kemarin saya dan keluarga pergi ke Jogja.
Muter-muter ke beberapa tempat wisata yang biasa dikunjungi wisatawan kalau kesana.
Ternyata Jogja tahun ini cukup beken di kalangan wisatawan, kata beberapa orang yang kami temui disana, Jogja di akhir tahun benar-benar penuh, untung saya kesana di awal tahun di saat orang-orang Jakarta dan lainnya udah pulang dari Jogja.

Sebenarnya foto-foto dibawah ini saya upload karena account flickr saya sudah hampir penuh, ngga bisa upload foto borongan.
